Our department maintains a variety of research programs and strives to disperse findings throughout the state of Arkansas and beyond through extension services and departmental outreach programs. Through collaboration with the U of A System Division of Agriculture, the Agricultural Experiment Station and the Cooperative Extension Service, our faculty conduct impactful research that is translated from the lab to the field to your household.
Research Focus Areas
The Department of Animal Science is dedicated to a mission of research and education in various fields related to animal science. Our research areas have vast impacts on the health of Arkansans and the rest of the world.
Facilities
The main office of the Department of Animal Science is located on the U of A campus. Many of our faculty members also conduct research across the state and work at various Agricultural Experiment Station facilities.
