Why choose Animal Science at the University of Arkansas?

 Studying animal science prepares you for a career that can take you any direction you choose, and our department at the University of Arkansas offers you the ideal starting point for that career.

Three undergraduate concentrations prepare graduates for positions of leadership and responsibility in the production of beef and dairy cattle, swine, horses, sheep and companion animals. Additionally, coursework in meat science, breeding, nutrition, animal health and physiology is available to refine academic experiences to match interests and prepare students for careers in the industry or placement into graduate, professional or veterinary school.
